Born and raised in Salvador, Bahia—the heart of Afro-Brazilian culture—I bring a unique perspective to Portuguese language education. My teaching journey began a decade ago when I started helping international visitors learn Portuguese while experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Bahia.

I believe that language and culture are inseparable, and my approach reflects this philosophy. My lessons incorporate music, literature, cuisine, and traditions from Bahia and across Brazil, making the learning experience more engaging and meaningful. I'm particularly passionate about helping students understand the African influences on Brazilian Portuguese, especially as spoken in the Northeast.

Before becoming a full-time language teacher, I worked as a cultural tour guide and translator, experiences that enhanced my ability to bridge cultural gaps and explain nuanced concepts to international learners.
